This is a historic ice cream shop with a few locations throughout Savannah. You'll also see many places with signage that says they serve Leopold's Ice Cream. The line forms quickly but moves fast. An employee came out with water for those who wanted any. There is a menu posted by the line so you can be prepared to order right away. I got the honey almond and cream because it was inspired by Savannah College of Art & Design. It was delicious. My niece got a vanilla milkshake and it said it was the best milkshake she ever had. If you're visiting Savannah, this is worth a stop.

The apple pie and brownie were amazing we got a ping to go but bc it was cold it was pretty empty so that was a treat bc it's always so so busy the Savannah socialite is my favorite

I really loved Leopold's Ice Cream!! They had a variety of sizes, whether you want just a bite or a whole pint to-go, and a good number of flavors (including vegan options!) I got the Savannah Socialite flavor....and, omg. Simply delicious. I really enjoyed the "Hollywood" decor and backstory of the shop. Staff was so kind as we sampled many flavors.

Delicious ice cream! This is a place that comes with history! Originally opening in 1919, they have kept it in the family and some of the original recipes too! The tutti fruity caught my eye because of the uniqueness of it! Rum flavored ice cream with candied fruit mixed in! Had to try it, and enjoyed! Wish it had a bit more candied fruit but still liked it! I did the 2 scoop and my other choice was the savannah nights(?) But it was chocolate with pecans and a bourbon Carmel swirl thru... it was very good! Nice and thick creamy ice cream, I see why there was a line to get in even in Jan with 40* weather! :)

Ouh la wee - get yourself to Leopold's Ice Cream and don't let the line scare you off - it's absolutely worth the wait! I debated whether to leave my accommodations to visit Leopold's but knew I'd regret not going while in Savannah. So, I took a walk down the street and, while surprised by the line, I decided to stick it out. After all, I do love ice cream and I'd made the effort to walk there. Leopold's did not disappoint! The menu is extensive, and I had a hard time choosing what to order. Once inside, I spotted the Pumpkin Pie Shake on the specials menu, and my decision was made. I visited in November 2024 and was still fully on the pumpkin spice train! When I finally got my shake and reached the cashier, I was so impressed by how friendly and upbeat the staff were even on such a busy night. The decor and accolades displayed around the ice cream parlor added to the charm, making the experience even more enjoyable. As for the Pumpkin Pie Shake...yes, it was delicious and met all my expectations. I totally understand the hype now and highly recommend Leopold's to anyone visiting Savannah! A very sweet treat to top off an excellent weekend.

We love supporting local and heard this was excellent ice cream. So glad we stopped in as this is some of the best ice cream we've had! There was a line out the door, but it moved fast as the staff was very courteous, but efficient. There were four of us that all got different flavors. We had the signature flavor...Tutti Frutti, (oh so yummy), vanilla and added rainbow sprinkles, strawberry, and then coconut in a waffle cone. Each flavor was so creamy and fresh. You can tell that only quality ingredients are used. Seating is limited, but we had no problem finding a spot. Do NOT let a line deter you or you will miss out. While you are there, read about the history of Leopolds. I also samples the butter pecan (favorite of President Jimmy Carter) and it was delicious. Love that this is a family owned business since 1919! We will probably be getting some pints shipped to us soon!

When flying into Savannah, Georgia, you'll find two of these ice cream locations inside the airport. One being a little stand in the middle of the hall, and a larger location just outside the TSA checkpoint. Both locations are good (I'm an ice cream fanatic) but when compared to this one, it's just not the same. This Leopoldo's is the original location with an amazing array of flavors to choose from. It reminds me of the old ice cream shops we use to have in Boston when I was little, but sadly have all gone out of business through the years. Though miles away from home, this shop brought back so many great memories shared with grandparents long gone. The staff were very kind and allowed us to sample several flavors before making our decision. All were amazing, and if I had more stomachs, I would have gotten a scoop of each flavor. I wonderful place to come and have an I cream or a shake. However, do be patient, as lines can get very long.

Be prepared for a line! We went an hour before closing and they were still busy. (Line out the door, still quick service) Classic Icecream, good flavors and even though there was a line the employees were super nice and let people try samples before they ordered. area was clean and there's plenty of indoor seating, I got the Coffee and it was really good.

Leopold's Ice Cream is absolutely worth the hype, and I didn't even mind waiting in the long line to get it. The handmade ice cream is simply excellent and the clear star of the show. I went with the pistachio, which was rich and creamy, while my wife chose the honey ice cream--both were outstanding. The interior adds to the charm, with walls lined with movie memorabilia that give the place a unique and nostalgic vibe. The staff, mostly young and friendly, kept things moving smoothly even with the crowd. A pro tip: check for street parking nearby to save yourself a walk. This spot is a must-stop in Savannah for anyone who loves ice cream as much as I do. 5 stars for the ice cream alone!
